Where has 'My Pictures' gone?

Hi All!!
Not sure what I've done, but I've still got 'My Pictures' in usual place & accessable, but when I write an e mail (AOL) & click 'insert picture' it's not showing in the 'My Documents' list, so I can't do it that way!

If you navigate UP from 'My Documents' then back down again, does My Pictures re-appear?
What if you copy the picture you want to attach to another folder within My Documents, but outwith My Pictures?0
