Can anyone tell me if there is a good or bad time to cash in an ISA and what are the penalties. Incidentally I have a cash ISA with Nat West.

You have not realy given us much to work with there..........
Questions at the top of my head are...

When you say cash it in, are you planning to do something with the money?
Whats your rate on your ISA if it is a poor rate, can you transfer to a better paying ISA?
How much have you in your ISA?
Penalties??? All ISA' s have there own rules some you can just withdraw or transfer without penaltaies some are fixed terms where you cant withdraw at all, some are a mixture of that............You will have to look at yor Natwest terms and conditions.


If you have many years of ISA's it would seem a shame to withdraw them, unless of course you have alternative plans with the funds, i.e purchasing a house or paying off a loan......

Like i say many people have ISA's that do not pay great interest rates, perhaps transfer to a better paying one.
But like i originally said, you have not given much info to work with....
