I've had one of these for years and we need to replace the cartridge after 3 or 4 years. Give Aqualisa a call - if you registered the sale there is a five-year guarantee and they will send someone out if it is within that time. Otherwise they are easy to fit yourself - someone on here will help with instructions I'm sure.
There may be a choice of cartridges (pink or grey from memory) - one is better if you have relatively high water pressure.0 -
Yes I have replaced a broken cartridge before on same shower so know how to get it it in and out - but not sure if it was within 5 years though. (edit: no it was back in 2001)
But new cartridge is £100+
hoped a new 'washer' might be cheaper0 -
the blue cartridges are about 44 quid.Get some gorm.0

Thanks all
New cartridge now fitted
In fact i think its possible it was just a 'washer' issue.
I replaced just the cartridge at first, but there was still dripping
The cartridge was also supplied with a washer (O ring in fact) which goes right at the back of the body in the center where either the hot or cold enters.
This O ring was very hard ( and difficult to remove too)
Replaced with new O ring, refitted everthing, all OK
So maybe the new cartridge was overkill ?
Tip for anyone re-fitting an Aqualisa cartridge is to remove the shower head so that when you turn on the shower for the 1st time the water can flow freely, else it can just lock up and you get no flow, once flowing you can refit head. (had me going for a while)0
