Anyone able to recomend a router to be used with sky BB, 1 question though im guessing sky users have a modem and then a cable goes from there to the router which then connects to the computer ?
Ive found this 1 but its a modem and router so could this replace the 2 devices thats in use or could i just swap it with the router thats already in use ?
Excuse my lack of knolwedge with sky but im a cable user and not used adsl for ages. Would the connection still work with tyhe netgear in use as well as the modem from sky ?

thanks

Sky supply a wireless network router/modem, there are 4 ethernet ports in addition to the wireless acess, the modem is built in.
You will get either a Sagem or Netgear, they are preprogrammed with a username and password.

the router in your link (netgear WG834) is the same as provided as part of the package i took with sky. So one would assume it to be fine.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow.. :p

You can only use Sky supplied modem/routers* with Sky broadband.
If your's is dead get Sky to replace it.

    * It is possible to extract the password and user ID from a Sky router so another may be used, but it breaks Sky terms and conditions.
