Samsung ECO Promotion

We purchased a Samsung 46" LED TV in March and was informed that there was a promotion on to receive cash-back from Samsung (which finished in April) once TV had been purchased and delivered. The TV we bought was going to allow us to receive £150 cash-back. Brill, we thought!! So the tv was delivered and we had to take the serial number from it in order to prove the purchase. We went onto the website and entered all the details correctly indicating that we would forward a copy of the receipt by post (it was optional to post, fax or attach copy) - this was done within a couple of days.

I contacted Samsung by email on 1/5/10 as we have not received anything, only to be told (quote) 'We unfortunately have inform you the claim made is invalid due to missing documentation we required stated on the terms and conditions. The documents we required missing on your claim was a valid vat invoice/receipt. These documents were required by the 21.04.10. the promotion is now closed. The promotions team left a further week for claims to be validated. No contact from you was made by this date. Sorry for any disappointment this may cause'.

I have replied stating that the documents were sent - I am very angry and feel that we were conned. Is there anything I can do? has anyone else had the same problem?

Did you send it recorded? if not its going to be an expensive lesson unless you can get another copy and hope the retailer can help or Samsung will do it in good will.

No, didn't send it recorded, didn't think about at the time!!

Still waiting for a reply by email. Also found an Samsung Customer Service address in Edinburgh, it's worth a try putting it in writing again.
