Deleting e-mails

Helpppp

I have 14000 yahoo e-mails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how the hell can I delete the lot:confused: I cant see a button to 'select all' I am having to delete them one by one:confused:

Comments

  • Can you not use Outlook to do it? If you put the email address and password as a yahoo account, I do believe Outlook would connect to the domain and download them all from there. Which should be easier to delete than in actual yahoo.
  • Forgot to say, when something is deleted in Outlook it updates the domain, so should update your yahoo account with the delete also. At least thats how it use to work years back when I actually used Outlook at home (although it was linked to a hotmail account not yahoo, so it might just work for Microsoft stuff, but it's worth a try)

i have an old bt/yahoo account and you can do view all messages and there is a check box to select the mails and then hit delete, don't know if this is the same for standard yahoo.
Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

On my yahoo account I know you can do a "select all" option, it ia at the top and bottom of the page and then click delete. Doesn't do them all in one go but page by page.

    Hi ageandjo,

If you are using the regular Yahoo Mail interface (rather than the pretty new "Beta" version), and you are trying to remove mail from your regular Inbox, you need to use this checkbox to select all the mail on that page :

Unfortunately you have to do this for each page of messages, but you can adjust the number of messages displayed per page in "Options -> General Preferences -> Messages/results per page".

If you are trying to empty your junk mailbox then you can use this button instead :
