Please everyone in this area, be wary of a man driving a very dark blue (almost black) Hyundai 800 Turbo van, registration V363 DTD.
He is going round the streets trying to sell fish from the back of his van. He says it is fresh from Grimsby this morning and that it is frozen (but it isn't, and I saw him put it back into plain pallets, not a container to keep food frozen).
He knocks on your door, tells you he will bring you some to look at (doesn't let you go to his van) and won't tell you how much it is until he comes back ... he brings about 8 small pieces of fish and says it is £50 .. then he says half that, then he says £10 for 2 small pieces.
I know people who, today, have said oh no, sorry (cos it's expensive for what it is) and he immediately turns VERY nasty and sarcastic, (and he is a tall bloke so it is rather intimidating), accuses them of wasting his time, saying he's got to go walk down the drive again and it's been his time not yours.
He's thin, has a moustache and he's got a sort of accent but I couldn't pick it up although he talks very fast - his head is bald on top with hair round the sides (dark brown) and he is wearing a black New Zealand rugby jacket with jeans.
If you're in this area, then I would say do NOT answer your door if you see him because if you don't buy from him he gets sarcastic and very threatening. He's a really nasty bloke.
