0% till May bill - so when do i start getting charged interest?

OK. So my bill comes in May.

Am I OK to avoid any interest if I pay off in full before the payment date quoted on my May statement? Or does interest start to accrue from the statement date?

It's likely to be neither. Doesn't it mention the date of the end of the 0% period on your last statement.
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries
  • It depends on the company. Cards under the MBNA group with any promotional rates will end on the statement date. Just ring the company and ask them!!
  • It is MBNA - does that mean the day after the statement I start paying interest?

It actually says 0% until your may statement.
  • Yes so for example if your statement is printed today and the 0% is not cleared then you would accrue interest daily from tomorrow until the balance is cleared.

Don't leave it till the last minute - better to lose a week's interest on the stoozed money for the peace of mind IMO.
