hi
i phoned a company to conduct a survey for me last tuesday, the said they would hope to get a report back to me within a week and would e-mail me to let me know when they would be going in to survey the property, great i thought. i had not heard anything from them so i phoned yesterday evening and was told the property had been surveyed on the monday and i would get a report in a couple of days, so far so good.i checked my e-mail tonight and i had an e-mail from them saying their surveyor has not been able to view the propert and it has been arranged for sunday 20th august.
now i know these things can happen but i am very annoyed do you think i should;
a) complain
b) cancel and find somebody else
c) or both

They have lied to you already. Would you trust them to do something as important as a house survey? I'd find someone else.Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0

Did they lie or was it some secretary that knew a survey was booked and assumed it was completed? So an honest mistake.
I'd be inclined to chill out and wait a bit longer.
Also, if the surveyor couldn't get access it sounds like it was the vendors who let you down.

could be an honest mistake as xbigman has noted."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0

Yep, i'd agree with the above.
First time it happens assume it's just someone's mistake, and that it's the vendors trying to arrange to be in for the surveyor. Does the EA have keys?
Sounds like it's being sorted for you if it's being done on a Sunday!Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery0 -
Ok so if they're not lying then they are incompetent, or at the very least a company that doesn't give a sod what impression they give to customers. You pay a whacking great premium for what should be a very professional service. That should mean getting it right first time - every time.Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0
