  • Regret selling, should have gone long term, they are at 220p now and look to be going north on news of the API and amounts they have found in Sealion. I reckon 4 quid by the end of the month.

If you reckon that then buying at 220p is not a bad idea is it?
  • I bought in again this morning to top up so yes definitely. The potential of RKH is huge!!!

Borders and Southern are more highly thought of by all accounts.
  • They certainly have a bigger area in the South Falklands basin but RKH have now proven the model for the North Falklands basin. It's best to have shares in all 4 of the FI Oilies imo.

If the Sealion find is anywhere near the estimates of 400 milllion barrels then as soon as this is flow tested the SP will hit north of 5 quid. Anytime now the SP will move on the news of the quality of the oil found too, they already know it's good it just needs independently confirming.

BOR are good value at the moment and have headed north today, for what reason I don't know but a good move today. FIH (FKL) is also a safe bet as they have a large percentage interest in FOGL too.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm a complete numpty about share dealing so I've got one of those sharebuilder accounts with Motley Fool - foolshare dealing.co.uk and I tend to rely on my dad for advice as he's always making loadsamoney- but then he already has loads to play with -LOL I invest £50 a month as that is what I can afford to lose IYKWIM? And it's spread over about 7 different shares like BP(sigh - thanks Dad - NOT) Mann group, TUI and a few others

So far I'm losing a little money but it goes up and down on an almost daily basis so over the last few years I've broken even. I'm looking long term though, not for a major killing And I just like the fun of watching them go up and down on my Iphone - it has to be good for something:rotfl:
Occasionally I will splurge and buy £30(+dealing fee) worth like when Supergroup launched earlier this year but I only do that once or twice a year

And occasionally I will make a loss like when I bought Northern Rock -thankfully only had £20 worth - real big spender me:p

  • Fair play to you! I also have a Tracker ISA which tracks some of the top FTSE companies but it's medium to high risk and it doesn't really pay much more than a normal ISA, in fact it's probably less! I have started playing the AIM share market and these FI shares will start to fly soon as some havew already found out on this thread.
