In Africa. I've followed Popeye as he has a job out here - which is how we got DF about a year faster :rotfl: Trouble is there's still no work for him in the UK, and unlikely to be in the near future. I miss my family, but life is still an adventure....
There's real poverty here (our maid doesn't even have electricity!) I guess we're in the top 10% here, whereas at home, we're bang in the middle. We feel really privileged and are determined to enjoy this country for now.

    Morning all :hello:
Well I managed to power on through the night and watched the election up until 7am. Very interesting times ahead - and sad to lose local Lab MP who has been there since 1997 and has done a lot for the community :(

Have managed a couple of hours sleep and will prob return to bed in a bit so a short list for me!
    • Need to do some Uni reading - aim for two chapters
    • NSD
    • Stick to meal plan and SW
    • Walk pup for free excerise
And that's it other than staying in tonight and relaxing! Busy weekend ahead - working Saturday and Sunday night shifts and have a study session all day tomorrow  But 3 weeks today and it will all be over (the assessed work that is) :)

    Take care

    Morning all

I wrote a post up last night and then was timed out and lost it, so gave up! So today am posting early, although it’s a short list:
    • Check bank online
    • Lunch out with friends today as a treat, but will stay within budget
    • Check for surveys
    • HC uniforms to try to get ahead
    • Try to focus at work, am really bored at the moment but got loads to do
    • Dinner from stores

Feeling very tired this morning and soooo glad it’s nearly the weekend. My house looks like a herd of animals have been through it this week (which is marginally true with three kids :rotfl:), so my weekend is already mapped – perhaps I’ll use the flylady to keep me motivated.

Glad to hear you’re taking a day off DNMS, sounds like you need it.

Will be back to update later.

    Hi everyone

Well aren’t I shattered this morning?! This week has been tough, what with staying up late to watch the snooker and staying up late last night to watch the election! So sleepy! :)

Today my listypops looks like this:
    • Going to come up with a DFW pledge for that thread that started yesterday – think it sounds like good motivation for me and good to keep a little check list all in one place :A
    • Wrapped and posted an ebay sale with stuff from my stash (free) :money:
    • Listed something else on ebay
    • Booked cinema for tomorrow for £1 (from last week’s email):money:
    • Having leftovers/using up what’s in the fridge for tea tonight – will be interesting if nowt else! :rotfl:Ended up getting a takeaway! £6.
    • Do a meal plan for next week and do a shopping list :A– didn’t do too well on the last big shop as had to get loads of storecupboard bits and bobs and ended up not getting many meals! D’oh.
    • Said no to an offer of the pub for lunch :o not making any friends here… :o:(
Oh Fay is it this weekend ebay has a free listing?! Woohoo, have a few things that I wouldn’t want to start at 99p so will get that sorted. Cheers for the tip off :D

Ok am scrapping the above as I have takent he day off to get my head together so am doing a new list! No point in being at work if I'm there in body but nothing else and distracting everyone else to boot! That means I have 4 days now until I have to go back to work, hopefully I will feel on top of things by Tuesday

Good plan DNMS! Have a lovely day!

Let me know how you get on with the flylady thread. I plan on doing all my lists on Sunday! :rotfl:We'll see how far I get.

    xx
  • Hi everyone, hope you're all having great days :) My day hasn't been too good as I found out one of the companies I owe money to took an extra £168.00 from my account! I arranged to pay them £40.00, and not gonna get money back 'til Tuesday now! And I've got a wedding to go to at weekend so not much money left - not impressed in the slightest.

But, other than that I've managed to do a few DFW things...
    • Got parcel ready to send off to Music Magpie (I'm too impatient for Amazon!)
    • Done daily scratchcards
    • Tracked my phone recyling (says pending - hurry up money! :P)
    • Didn't buy any clothes when I went into town!!
    • Checked online banking
    • Got some cheap accessories from a shop up town for wedding
And later after picking up my car I'm off to Tescos to get a refund on my top that doesn't fit right - bit too baggy :( That's the problem with ordering clothes online, so at least it's put me off online shopping!)

    Hope everyone's having a good day :D
