Friday 7th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Goooooood morning:T
Am up early to watch the election results.....oooooohh:)
Not feeling my best, yet again, but off to work and then can come home to rest:o I have a snotty letter for the hospital written, need to print and send - if I don't get seen til July that'll mean I've been on the waiting list for 6months:mad: Not good, living on my own with my girlies, not able to work f/t and my uni course being compromised.....fingers crossed that helps my progress!
Ok, list for today:
Have a good day all:)

A hung parliament is where no one political party has an outright majority, means we will probably have two parties together in parliament ie conservatives and lib demsNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Ok am scrapping the above as I have takent he day off to get my head together so am doing a new list! No point in being at work if I'm there in body but nothing else and distracting everyone else to boot! That means I have 4 days now until I have to go back to work, hopefully I will feel on top of things by Tuesday
So today- [STRIKE]hc - ds is in desperate need of boxers![/STRIKE] just need to hang up now...
- saved a days petrol by not going to work (every cloud...;))
- [STRIKE]hm bread[/STRIKE] in the machine now

- [STRIKE]research some healthy/low fat meals (ds is really into fitness in a big way, doing a fitness instructor course and wants to change his diet so need to see how I can incorporate this into our diet/budget and write up new meal plan for rest of the month)[/STRIKE] ok got ideas and have drawn up menu. Off to mysupermarket.com to work out costs, think I may do online shopping as it will save the journey and have moc...we'll see
- go shopping (decided better to go, better use of moc, can get it today)
- repot some seedlings
- do some planting in the garden, looks like it might brighten up soon

- do a little housework (I love having a tidy home makes me feel calm)
- read flaylady thread and see what its all about

Morning All
Must get back into this habit of watching the little things. Popeye wants a new (to us) car, he's found a suitable one which we may pick up next week....so our savings ill be decimated again
So today I will/have-
menu plan for next week and make a suitable shopping list
-
go to a more distant shopping centre because thee's a brilliant vegetable shop, otherwise it's only supermarket stuff

-
I've shopped in the Tesco sale for jumpers and similar, you may be looking forward to a barbeque summer, but ours is over :rotfl:
I've submitted my CV to a possible employer as there is a small chance I'll be able to get a work permit after all - fingers crossed
Have a great day everyone. I think a hung parliament might be good news - government by consensus instead of by party politics.........we'll see.0 -
Grrrr I'm so mad about this election result!! (And the fact so many people have been disenfranchised due to the bloomin voting fiasco's)
This is a nightmare as I think the country really needed some certainty one way or another in order to move forward - I hope there's another general election.
Anyway........... rant over........!
1. NSD
2. Work today and tonight for pennies.
3. post ebay item
Thats it for me short as it's the weekend nearly! xx0
