Any luck reclaiming charges from NatWest?

Hallo there,
Has anyone had any luck with reclaiming their bank charges from NatWest?
I have started to claim about £600, they replied saying their charges were “fair, reasonable and transparent” Huh! However they would repay me £137 (I have no idea how they arrived at this odd figure). I rejected that and said I wanted the lot.
Now I have had a letter from them which says they shall not increase this offer as the charges were applied properly.
This stated that NatWest do not accept the OFT ruling “and do not accept its findings in relation to the setting of credit card fees. We are concerned that the OFT has publicly called into question the setting of charges applied to other products including current accounts.” The OFT had “made no attempt to consult with RBS Group or the industry.”
It’s the bl**dy arrogance of it that gets me.
I shall be taking the b*****ds to court with great glee. Even if I don’t win it will at least force them to hire expensive City lawyers and try and justify their rip-off charges in public
Anyway what I am asking is, have other people got their charges back from NatWest or are they just tightening up a bit. Any advice will be really appreciated.
Thanks

Many who could answer this question have had their lips sealed with money. But you do seem to have got the standard brush off letter. From Mr Stuart Higley by any chance?
Why not read the NatWest forum on https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/0 -
I got a letter back from Natwest repaying 2 credit card fees yesterday, after only sending them 2 letters. Admittedly in my case it was only £32 but it worked.
They explained "I have refunded the charges on this occassion to avoid long and protracted correspondance" and that "The charges were corrected and should have been paid"If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

My debt was sold on to a debt recovery agency who I then paid. What do people think my chances are or clawing back any charges previously to them selling my debt on? Does anyone think that they will say because they have loss money in reclaiming the debt that they won't or is a case of they decide to sell on my debt it's there own fault and that I still have a claim because the original charges before were ilegal? Any advice would be helpful.0

The charges were illegal so you can reclaim them from the bank, the fact they sold the 'debts' on to a debt collection agency is their problem.
Don't try and reclaim anything from the debt collection agency, they have not done anything wrong. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
