Help!!! First house - who do i get the telephone with?

Hey all,

Me and my partner have just bought our 1st home together and i would really appreciate any advice as to who would be the best company to go with for a land line telephone, we dont have a computer so wont require an internet package so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
MSE has changed me for the better!!

    With a BT landline, all options for cheap calls are open.

    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
