Demand5 Flash Issue & Mac

I can get BBC iplayer to work fine on my macbook but when I try to watch programmes on the Channel5 Demand5 service it says I don't have flash installed when I do. I'm using Firefox. I've tried it in Safari but it just says buffering when loading up the chosen programme.
Anyone else encountered this and found a solution.
