I wouldn't worry too much. The message from eBay was a warning basically advising you not to get involved in any transactions with this particular seller. They are obviously suspicious of the seller to have sent it to you. If the seller didn't click 'respond to question' and just replied to the question then it would only show up in your actual email inbox and not the eBay inbox.
I think the best advice would be just to stay away from this seller.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
Don't worry. The guy obviously has form for doing deals off ebay and you've had a warning from ebay to tell you not to do anything like that.
Slightly odd though... why not copy and paste the message here so we can confirm the glitch. My TV is broken!

hi, this is what it said,
our records indicate that you recently sent a email to or recieved a email from....through ebay email system.
for example you may have sent a email to this member through ask seller a question or recieved an email from this member through contact ebay member.
sometimes ebay accounts are used to send email solicitations for transactions outside of ebay or to send unrelated questions in hopes that you will respond so that the other party can obtain your email address. we wanted you to be aware of the potential fraud risk these solicitations pose and encourage you to be cautious about the email you recieved from this member.
Please keep in mind sales that take place outside of ebay are not eligable for any ebay or paypal protective services and you run the risk of losing your money or your item if you complete these transactions.
We would encourage you to review the ebay pages related to fraud protection at the adress below, bla bla bla,
i couldnt copy it over sorry hope you can understand this!? thanks for all help and advice given, so worried i feel sick that someone could hack into our accounts ect?0 -

You emailed the guy. He may have emailed you back... either way, ebay noticed. No biggie.joffy wrote:sometimes ebay accounts are used to send email solicitations for transactions outside of ebay or to send unrelated questions in hopes that you will respond so that the other party can obtain your email address. we wanted you to be aware of the potential fraud risk these solicitations pose and encourage you to be cautious about the email you recieved from this member.
Ebay speak for - 'make sure you do all your ebay transactions through the proper channels, and don't do a deal via email.' If you did that, ebay would get less fees, and they hate that.joffy wrote:Please keep in mind sales that take place outside of ebay are not eligable for any ebay or paypal protective services and you run the risk of losing your money or your item if you complete these transactions.

Yes, off ebay sales are riskier.joffy wrote:i couldnt copy it over sorry hope you can understand this!? thanks for all help and advice given, so worried i feel sick that someone could hack into our accounts ect?

I doubt that guy is a threat to you. But be careful with emnails that you receive.... from anyone that you don't know.
If you receive anything asking you to click here to confirm your ebay, paypal or bank account details, DON'T CLICK IT!
Or anything from ebay about transactions you don't recognise. Always log on to ebay to check for odd activity - never click on links from suspect emails. My TV is broken!
