Hi guys hope this is in the right board.... Me and my girlfriend are looking at getting into photography and looking for some advice on buying a dslr camera only have a budget of max £400 can anyone recommend any cameras?
Have looked online and there are that many to choose from.

My money would be on a Canon or a Nikon
i was a Nikon man but bought a canon compact in Feb and havent touched my nikon slr since.

Have you tried a search on this forum 1st, as theirs about 200 threads re: camera recommendation's, at least 1 every 2/3 days is asked

The Nikon D3000 or Canon EOS 1000D are about that price level, or 2nd hand you should be able to pick up a veritable bargain at that price point

As previously stated, the camera lens is a very significant consideration.
