I want a list of tariffs - not a comparison site
Hi,
I'm a very high user of gas and electricity.
I've a couple of problems with the comparison sites, first thing is they don't allow a high enough amounts to be entered.
Secondly i've got a special non-tariff rate from my supplier. As all the comparison site ask you to choose a tariff and not enter an kw/h amount its impossible to use them.
Anyone know of a site with a simple list of tariffs? I've tried the suppliers websites but most don't seem to have the actual numbers, just a form to compare and sign up with them.
Thanks Matt
p.s. I know its bad to use this amount but I'd get a wind turbine if they would let me have planning permission

Most suppliers do list all their tariffs on their websites you just have to look hard for them. Here's some to get you started:

What comparison sites are you using? All the ones I've used allow you to enter Kwh amounts. Doesnt really matter what tariff you put in as they will give you an accurate yearly spend figure with the new suppliers.
Also, what do you mean by "a special non-tariff rate"?? I'm not sure what that means.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

If the OP's gas usage is over 85000kwh then I doubt he'll be able to get a quote on a comparison website. Then again his supply won't be classified as domestic so probably won't be able to go on any normal tariffs anyway0 -
Well, I've just checked on Energyhelpline and that allows you put 500,000 Kwh of gas and 75000 of electric
I didnt go any further up than that but my guess is the op wouldnt be using more than that...Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

This should solve the OP's query thenIf his usage is over 85000kWh then he may run in to a few problems with the transfer though

Just choose "show all results" on the results page then open as many tariff details as you like in separate windows (usually from clicking the tariff names).0

Sounds like you should check out the commercial arrangements.
During the energy shortage last winter, some companies had to down tools because they signed a contract for cheap electricity, in exchange for interruptible service. They never reported how cheap is cheap.0 -
To be honest, I cant see the OP being in the same usage bracket as steel factories etc. assuming this is a domestic supply.
He/She said the comparison sites dont allow high enough amounts to be entered but as I pointed out, the first one in the list above allows you to put in usage of 500,000Kwh of gas and 75000Kwh of electricity and possibly more.
He/She also said that "As all the comparison site ask you to choose a tariff and not enter an kw/h amount its impossible to use them." again, the first comparison site in the list above allows you to put in Kwh as do all of the others.
I would like to know what sites the OP was using that didnt allow you to put these figures in but it looks like they have gone a bit quiet..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
