Yorkshire Building Society to increase saving rates

With effect from 27th August 2006, youth accounts will be increased by 0.35% and the rest of the savings range will be increased by 0.25%.
Yorkshire Building Society savings rates increased
The (currently very eratic) moneyfacts website shows the Internet Saver as paying 5.10% from August 27th. So, the 0.25% increase is on top of the 0.15% rise on August 13th.

They are also doing an ISA at 5.25% with transfers accepted (withdrawal restrictions apply). Will have to have a look.0 -

I have just looked at their website. This seems like a good account as i can transfer an Isa that is not a good rate any more. However at the moment the rate reads 4.90% for the E-isa.Is this the one that will rise to 5.25% do you know?0 -
The 5.25% is for a fixed rate ISA. The e-isa, which I have , is variable and 4.9% at the moment, so I would assume that this will be rising by 0.25%.0

Thankyou.
It is now between this one and Bradford and Bingley who are currently at 5% for a similar account. So i am waiting to see which ends up with the best rate. The Abbey isa was good but now stands at 4.65%,so even when they raise it it will not come close. I need one i can transfer in,and keep it as an internet account.Does anyone have any other contenders?0 -

I have been looking at their site and cannot see the one I am interested in mentioned there so have sent an email. The postcard I received from them refers to a "Fixed Rate Anniversary ISA" aer. Annual or monthly interest. It might only be for members, we'll see. I do have an account with them. I'll let you know.0 -

It is not very clear but transfers in are allowed. I know because I have one, and transferred in funds previously held with M & S. The maximum just refers to this tax years annual allowance.derrick wrote:
Also the transfer went smoothly and was sorted out within a week.0 -

Yes you are right, it takes a bit of finding, but the transfer form is HEREDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
