This is a good site to identify trees from the leaves. My first thought is an ash. We have tonnes of these that blow seeds in each year from a tree in our street. They're a nuisance.

Looks like a member of the Cherry family (ornamental?) can u take a pic of the base of the leaf and can u tell us if the leaves are opposite or alternate? Also a pic of the stem/trunk would be good.:)

    Hi

Here is a link for the leaves, the base will have those marks - may be quite small though.
The leaves should be alternate up the branch.

I suspect you have a wild cherry - prob dropped by the birdies poop!!!! :)

    WOW
Looking at pics on the net. I think you are right. THANK YOU EVERYONE
I love these trees. There are lots of them round here.
Question? Can I move it to a better part of the garden?
It's about 7 foots tall, but the trunk is quite slim. It's been there about 18 months.
It's too near the house, but I have a good spot near the fence.

Definitly - Cherry trees are notorious for causing problems with drains. Take as much of the rootball as you can and water like mad!
