Silverstone/Towcester Area

Hi

5 months after Christmas, me and my oh are finally 'having' our pressies! He bought me a hot air balloon ride and I bought him an extra long driving experience at Silverstone. Thankfully we are able to do both on consecutive days!

We want to stop somewhere in the middle of both, preferably not too far south of Silverstone as we have to travel north to get home.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend any nice B&B or hotels that arent too expensive. We thought we had found one, but unfortunately they are booked. Didnt really want to stop in a travel lodge/premier inn but have looked at the Marriott in Northampton - 2 nights B&B for £178 with use of the pool/gym included in a deluxe room, or Sedgebrook Hall for £69 per night b&b with 2 cinema tickets thrown in too, or Walnut Tree Inn, £78.75 per night.

Just wondered if anyone knows of any close by that they would recommend?? (we have already tried the Silverstone Bed and Breakfast - full for that wknd!! - shame cus they have a hot tub!!)

Thanks in advance!

I used to live in this hotel during the week when working in Milton Keynes.

A very nice individual hotel with a superb restaurant.

It used to have a link with a local health club too.

This was the top of everyone in my companies list of places to stay when working down that way.

Saracens Head in Towcester is a nice little B&B http://www.saracenshead-towcester.com/

or Whittlebury Hall is close if you want spa facilities http://www.whittleburyhall.co.uk/

Sedgebrook Hall is nice but you do have to drive through Northampton to get to it so it's not as easy a location.

Thanks unfortunately full for the Saturday night. If we decide to just do 1 night, I will put it back on the list!
