tax credit renewal

hi all just wondering if you can give me a bit of advice please
renewed tax credits last friday and recieved payment today (usually get it on a thurs) and the amount is higher now all the years i have renewed i have had a one off payment inbetween old payments and new ones this hasnt happened this year anyone know why this could be???
