help please just had a new combi boiler fitted and need advice on old cubic gas meter

i have a new boiler system and the engineer said that was the old type cubic meter gas meter is it worth phoning up british gas and ask for a new metric one will it be more expensive to run somebody said the metrice ones with the way the calculations are done work out more expensive is that true

A meter that measures cubic metres is a metric meter. A meter that measure in cubic feet is an imperial meter. It should not make any difference to the cost, as the supplier simply uses a conversion factor of 2.83 in the calculation.
