Hi all not sure where to start .... me and my partner have twins aged 12 he works full time and i am a carer to our twin whom is disabled, i was really good friends with my one neighbour now all i get is her spreading gossip trying to cause arguments with other neighbours saying i have been talking about them, the sad thing is i have not spoken to her in months !
I recently came in to some money paid off debts and i am having driving lessons ... i have brought things for the garden for the twins and done what we needed too so we can have a car (i have a little left) .. my son get DLA so therefore this is how we are getting a car. When i asked my other neighbour about this lady whom is constantly causing trouble she said 'Shes Jealous of you' i thought this was funny, we have never been on holiday or own a car, my son is 12 in nappies and cannot talk and up most of the night too be honest i am exhausted ....Do you think i should confront her, report her for constantly causing trouble or would you ignore her ..i am so fed up:eek:

    I would ignore her.

In my experience, any reaction will encourage her to continue. Without a reaction, she'll soon get bored and stop.

And, I wouldn't worry about anyone else who continues to spread the rumours behind your back also. If they buy into all the gossip, they aren't worthy of your friendship.

Be the better person and just let it roll off your back. She is obviously not a friend if she is talking behind your back. If others have confirmed it, I would just move on.

I would ignore her, it definently sounds like she is jealous. Lets face it when you were talking to each other you had little compared to now. Now she's not on the scene and you have gained a little bit of money to enable you to do things you couldnt do before she's not around to enjoy it.

Sounds like she's just spiteful to me and your neighbours obviously take what she says with a pinch of salt.

I agree with what others have said and just ignore her. She sounds like a bit of a nutter tbh and I would avoid having anything else to do with her.
It is sad that she see's your windfall as something to be jealous of and obviously values money over people.
Just carry on doing what is best for your family ,safe in the knowledge that you have done nothing wrong. If anyone happens to say something to you simply put them right (if it is an offensive comment) ....but don't for one minute think you have to justify your actions to anyone.

Good luck with your driving too...having a car will really transform your life. I didnt pass my test until I had 3 kids under 5 and believe me- its fantstic to have the freedom to take them somewhere without the hastle of pre planning bus routes!!

Ignore her. She is just jealous and must have a very sad boring life.
I had someone call me names, again, they were jealous.

Live your life how you choose and don't give petty people like that a second thought!

    Good Luck with the driving!

I agree, just ignore her and get on with your own life. This woman sounds just like an old ex neighbour of mine. She spread so much gossip around about so many people , it just became laughable in the end. These people just end up showing themselves up in the end. Just concentrate on your own life, your own family and any genuine friends that you have.

I agree with ignoring her. By letting it bother you, she's getting the reaction from you she wants.
