I comp daily & ain't won much lately. Although yesterday I had a call from The Times that left me all weak & trembly. Oh he had such a lovely voice too. As he checked my name I had visions of winning a luxury holiday .... Then he tried to sell me the Times. I'm in one of my desperate moods so I just know that I wont win whilst feeling this way - although I'm trying not to appear desperate
As for holidays - the stress of returning to all them comps after being away for a fortnight is really something else  We just have to carry on though

It probably seems like people are winning loads but that's because this forum is an 'I won, I won' forum - imagine if we had a forum 'I didn't win, I didn't win' - there would be thousands more posts!
It is hard to keep going, but you will find that people do enter loads every day (I probs enter about 50-100) and it is completely addictive but once you start getting a bit p'd off with it, it's often best to take a few days break and come back to it.
Despite entering thousands of comps in March, I only won one small prize in April, however a couple of days ago I won £1000 with Pepsi :j - so you never know what's round the corner.
Good luck!0 -
I am so tired/drained by entering and waiting. I have entered aprrox 250 comps since March and only won one. It was nice to get a 1KG choc bunny, which has given me hope. I have to say though everyone else seems to win loads except poor old me. It's geting a bit OTT being glued to my PC and keeping an ear out for the phone. My husband thinks I'm mad but my hopes and dreams keep me going. One day please let me win something big so I can reduce my efforts.
I enter 250 a day!!
I think people need to be realistic.
I enter thousands of comps but I dont expect to win, its the luck of the draw, If I win then its a bonus, Comping is my hobby, I must admit I check my emails alot and do get really excited when checking the post, But if I dont win then fair enough, Thats life0 -

If its making you feel tired and drained why are you doing it? 250 comps since March is quite a small number and yet you have had a win so well done. :j, I enter 200+ most days and I have had some lovely wins and I have also had weeks and months of no prizes at all. But thats the nature of the game , you win some you lose some and we all lose a lot more than we win.:) I never expect to win so when I do its a bonus. I enjoy the entering and seeing all the fab prizes up for grabs.
The I won forum is great but it can give the impression that everyone is winning apart from you. Like a previous poster said if there was an I didnt win anything today forum there would be hundreds of posts every day.
In the words of the great Catherine Tate "Chill out", as its really not worth getting stressed or drained over. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0 -
I often get annoyed that I don't win much, but then I remember that our house isn't very big, so lots of prizes would just get in the way :rotfl:
I've got my fingers crossed for a Paul's Boutique barbie bag though (have entered about 5 different competitions for it) - if I won one it would make my year!
xo~When you wish upon a star~:heart2:0 -
If i find myself fed up I take a day or two away from the competitions, come back all re-freshed and raring to go, we all need a break, I used to see it as a chore but now its a hobbie:happyhearJules xx

Yes you are all right. Patience is a virtue and if I win great if not then it's not meant to be. I will definitely stop freaking out about it and thank goodness I can still get my housework done. Cheers for the reality check everyone.0

I think it's important to just enter for things that are actually useful to you in some way. At least then when you do win, you know it's something you want and it cuts down the amount of time you have to spend entering stuff.
I don't bother with DVDs and CDs anymore (unless it's something I really want) as there are soooo many comps that I could spend half my comping time just entering those. I think when you have been comping for a long time, you get past the stage of just entering for the amount of wins.
Good luckThanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I do an hour or so a day after work and just hope
I think if I got to the point where it was freaking me out I would take a break and come back to when more relaxed.
