starting a new course...help?!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me? I have been studying in my first year of a 3 year degree, but have decided it is not the right course for me and have reapplyed through UCAS to start another 3 year course next academic year. I would be starting the new course in the first year, and I am worried that I will not be able to get full finance as I will be studying an extra year. I recently phoned Student Finance England to enquire about this, and was told by an advisor that I would not be eligible for a tuition fees loan, or a grant;yet surely everyone who changes course can't be paying £3300 tuition fees out of their own pocket? If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. I am very worried about this as if I cannot get funding then I will not be able to pay for Uni
:(

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but your entitled to funding for the length of course plus one year when it comes to fees and grant.0

Funding entitlement for a new course is length of the new course + 1 year - any years previously in attendance on a higher education course.
If you're only done the one year previously, you'll be eligible for the full duration of the new course. If you repeat any years, you will be restricted to a maintenance loan only, unless you are repeating due to extreme mitigating circumstances.0 -

Oh ok thank you. How do I apply for this extra year of finance? Do I have to fill in additional forms or speak to somebody, or do I just apply the same way I did last year, online? Sorry I have lots of questions! :P0
