Buyagift experience vouchers...

Does anyone else think Buyagift or experience vouchers in general are a rip-off?!
I've been trying to book a two night hotel break with one for months now yet all I keep getting is, 'Sorry, no availability,' despite the fact I could book through their site :mad:
The latest response was that it's a 'Promotional voucher,' and is subject to availability!! But they do have availability and I'm not talking for a suite, I'm talking a basic room, which costs £120 for two nights...these vouchers were supposedly worth £199 :mad::mad:
Am I being unreasonable to be annoyed with this fact?
Buyagift customer services are trying to be helpful to be fair but no-one wants to tell me exactly what the 'availability' is based on...
