Can anyone tell me if Eon scults their Tier one at all?

Also how is the discount applied is it to both Gas and Electric?
Also do they take them off individually ie

Direct debit 6%
Dual Fuel 2%
Online discount 20.20%

or

Discount 28.20% which is better!

Also do they let you set you own Direct debits as im on British gas Web saver 4 whose tariff is simular but got over £300 pounds in credit and wont release it to we have been their a year

    Hi Peter

No, we don't sculpt our tier 1 (primary) charges. They are charged on a pro rata basis over the time span of each bill.

Tier 1 units on Fixonline 8 cover the first 900 kWh (electric) and 2680 kWh (gas) used per year. If the bill covers 91 days, then 225 kWh of electricity and 669 kWh of gas will be charged at the tier 1 rate.

On dual fuel accounts, the discount is applied to both fuels and is taken off as a lump sum. In your case, 28.2% would be taken off the total energy charges before VAT is added.

Direct Debits are calculated to cover your ongoing usage with the aim of achieving a zero balance by the time of the annual review each spring.

Hope this answers your questions Peter. Give me a shout if you need any more details as will be happy to help. :)
