ICESAVE- The end of the saga

When Icesave went down the tubes I pledged that if i got my money back I'd vote labour. I got it back in spades, the FSCS continued to honour Icesave interest rates for fixed term accounts.
I still have a 3yr fixed earning +/- 7% so today is the day!
This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !

    And as a way of drawing a line under the whole saga Iceland decided to scatter it's financial ashes over Europe.... nice.

    Surely it wasn't just FSCS involved. Since amounts above the specified limit were protected, it was the British taxpayer paying as well. At least until the Iceland government decides to stump up ...

    I voted Labour for this reason also. I can thank them for over £10k refunded.
