Can anyone help me? How do I find out how much free RAM is left on a laptop?

Assuming Windows then the task manager shows memory usage. If this is XP then right click on the taskbar (usually bottom of display) has it this as an option.0

Are you sure you don't need to know how much room is left on your Hard Drive?
If that is what you need to know ...My computer> Either Hover your mouse arrow over the C: drive and it will show it OR Right click on C: drive click Properties and it will also show it in a pie chart.
