Hello guys :D Hope you're feeling well PP x

This week we have this planned:

Breakfast - muesli, porridge or toast for girls, with banana and orange juice.
    - Muesli and banana for DH.
    - Peanut butter/yeast extract (nuts on side) with tomato slice on rye toast/crispbread, or porridge with nuts, or poss veggie sausage/bacon/baked beans on rye with ketchup at weekend (if so, then the others will probs have same with white/brown bread.)

    Snack: Fruit

Lunch - huge salads followed by cup of veg bouillon for me. Everyone else:
    - Sandwiches of/crackers/HM wraps with avocado, peanut butter, jam or yeast extract, with or without chutney, pickle, salad etc
    - Cheez on toast
    - Leftovers
    all usually with salad.

    Snack: Carrot, cracker, nuts

    Dinner
Sat: Thai Green Veg Curry with Cashew-sprinkled Sweet Potato Mash
Sun: "Bacon" and Turnip Layered Plate Pie, Potatoes, Veg and Gray. HM Banana and Coconut Ice Cream.
(Tea) Tomato Soup with Toast. Fruit Plate. Biscuit/Cake.
Mon: Tagliatelli with Broccoli, Garlic and Chilli, with salad
Tue: Mixed Veg and Cashew Stir Fry with Brown Rice
Wed: Sun-dried Tomato Baguette Pizza with salad/veg
Thu: Mushroom Penne Bake with salad
Fri: Vegetable Bhaji with Bombay Sweet Potatoes, Brown Rice and Avocado Salad

On occasion, instead of having the same as our dinner, the girls might have the following for tea: Pasta with Olive Oil/Tomato Sauce and Veg, Baked Beans on Toast with Greens, LM Sausage Roll/Veg Sausage/Veg Hot Dog with Veg and HM Oven Chips/Steamed Potatoes, or One-Pot Lentil Stew, depending on what eldest DD fancies and what I fancy cooking ;) Their puds, if any, will likely be fruit and crackers (there is custard powder, semolina and the means for a custard pud if they/I feel like it.)

Hope everyone has a great week! :)
Love and compassion to all x

Thanks for starting the thread PP.

We have been pretty good this week, apart from a problem with off fish in the curry last friday (it smelt ok but tasted bad, was a shame as the curry was fab) leading to a takeaway.....

Tu-roasted white fish fillets and leeks with roast spuds (recipe from Jamie at home)
We-Tagliatelle with sprouting brocolli and oozy cheese sauce (Jamie again, as long as get PSB in veg box)
Th-Chilli (freezer) with rice, cheese and sour cream
Fr-Retro lamb curry (freezer) & chips (poss chip shop ones depending on what time OH and I finish at work (if same time-then chip shop ones, if hours apart then oven chips)
    Sa-HM pizza, salad
    Su-Roast pork with trimmings

Have to confess to some changes this week. Sat had a yen for a takeaway curry (hangs head in shame :o) To be fair it did do sun as well lol. Theeen Mon DD2 brought some HM Jamaican brown stew chicken, rice and peas from her ex partner who was up seeing his girls nom nom nom. So a few meals put in/left in freezer, which should help later in the month (takeaway from a different budget, and will mean we can't have any other extras this month)

So next week I will stick to the plan (probably)

Sunday: Roast chicken, mash 'n veg, roasties and HM stuffing

Monday: HM spag bol (from freezer) with HM garlic bread

Tuesday: Chicken (legs off the bird), new pots and salad

Wednesday: HM veg soup (from carcass) with crusty bread

Thursday: Veg curry with any chicken bits added, basmati rice and poppudums

    Friday: Fish and oven chips

Saturday: Tikka spiced chicken with savoury rice and salad

So the plan is committed to paper and put on the thread. Now let's see what life does to it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for starting us off, PP.

    This week I've got:

Friday - Pasta with bacon, mushroom and roasted red pepper pesto (pesto was bought, using a money off voucher)
Saturday - Mushroom, cured pork and smoked cheese pizza
Sunday - Pepper pesto, tomato and mozzarella tart on polenta pastry, with salad
Monday - Chilli con carne (from the freezer) with smoked cheese polenta and roasted cherry toms
Tuesday - Chicken kiev (from the freezer), leek and celeriac mash, spicy beans (LO, from the freezer)
Wednesday - Leeks and ham in cheese sauce with crusty bread
Thursday - Moroccan meatballs (from the freezer) with carrot pilaf

As you may guess, I'm trying to run down the freezer contents so I can defrost it - at the moment I keep worrying that the Titanic is going to appear through the ice at any moment! ;)

Have a nice week's eating, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

    Here's 'the plan'!

Monday - [STRIKE]pasta with pesto. I have booked the day off and may go and see my dad in the afternoon, so this won't be set in stone[/STRIKE] nope, had a totally lazy day at home and have just put a pasta bake in the oven using a jar  I love pasta bake sauce and it uses one of my six jars :p

Tuesday - fishcake (made from my prawn and corn mix!) with potato wedges and salad

Wednesday - fragrant pork and rice one pot

Thursday - [STRIKE]chicken stirfry with noodles[/STRIKE] had a bagel, toasted, spread with tomato puree, sprinkled with cheese and grilled!

Friday - [STRIKE]stuffed pepper with polenta chips[/STRIKE] chicken kebab - chicken in a pitta with salad and chilli sauce

Saturday - [STRIKE]homemade cod goujons with chips and peas[/STRIKE] had chicken thighs in a sauce with rice

Sunday - spicy crumb coated chicken with mini corn on the cob and potato wedges

    [STRIKE]
Lunches will be sandwiches using some of the bread that never gets used in the freezer! I'm still working on the freezer contents, all the above is from there, except the pasta :p
[/STRIKE] Lunches ended up as 2 x leftover pasta bake, then Super Noodles (the bagel planned for lunch ended up for dinner) and rice cakes with houmous instead.
