Almost Free Lunch at The Bountiful Cow

The Bountiful Cow in Holborn (51 Eagle Street, London WC1R 4AP, website too) has a very fine deal for lunch every day Mon-Sat. The Cow describes itself as "a public house devoted to beef," but besides steaks and burgers, they do terrific fish and even vegan food-- all in a lovely atmosphere.
Their "Almost Free Lunch" is your choice from four to six excellent gastronomic one-course meals for £5.50 (examples current in May 2010: eggs benedict; smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast; escalope of chicken; macaroni cheese; corned beef hash with fried egg; chef's salad). The only hitch is they ask that you buy an accompanying drink apart from coffee (a soft drink is acceptable, they say.) No vouchers or anything like that are needed, but booking is a good idea.
I'd like to know if others agree with me about the fine qualities of this joint.

£5.50 + a drink is almost free? That's a pretty odd description. Sure you don't work for them?0
