Does PayPal postage threaten Post Offices?

I always go to PO to post- main disadvantage is that I take money from my own bank acc instead of paypal acc (although could transfer some across I end up never bothering!), advantages- POP, supporting local sub-PO, nice chat, etc etc!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Dont forget you can get a Pay Pal prepaid Visa debit card, you transfer funds free via pay pal, if you transfer before midnight its on the card by approx. 2pm the next day.0 -

If the PO staff near me opened all the counters when there is a queue then I would be more likely to use them. Happy to support businesses that support their customers back...0

I forgot to mention one other reason why I like to use PayPal postage - you can print the label without the postage cost showing.
The items I send are often delicate ceramics which involve a lot of packing materials. I usually add between 50p to £1 to the actual postage cost for materials but people can be very harsh on your DSRs even for a small amount like this. Not displaying the postage cost on the label is definately an advantage. Don't forget that if you charge the actual postage amount, say £10 for example, in this instance you're only actually receiving £9.66 after PayPal charges.
I recently bought an item via a commission bid in a 'real world' auction. They offered "for a small packing fee plus the cost of postage" to post items won. Actual postage cost was £9 their total charge was £30! What would eBayers make of that. :-)
