hey all.... glad you had a nice weekend jo! Elly, wishing you a happy birthday too!

well, its been a busy few days entertaining the kids, and having some friends over for dinner.....

I have some news.. first products are on thge website... well sort of... bloody thing is playing up! OH is away tonight so I will bash away at it this evening.... And I might have a job... Not sure if you guys remember that I mentioned about a telesales job working from home? I received an email this morning from the company asking if I was still interested as the person they employed didn't work out so I think they are offering it to me.... we didn't really need the money a few months ago so I wasn't that bothered about not getting it but now since we are nearing the end of our building budget with lots still to do (at the moment finances dictate a choice between a kitchen and a bioler and I am not going with out heating!!) so this is perfect timing (well not so much with the school holidays but I will sort something out!)

I will carry on with PM as I am determined that this will take off.... I will just have to work evenings at PM and mornings at the new job.

    woohoo....money coming in!!

    Hope everyone else is well...

Thanks Dilli. I enjoyed it and actually feel quite happy about being 40 even though I hated the idea of it.

Happy Birthday Elly - sounds like you had a super time away, wine, beach, chinese... perfect! Don't let OH get away with thinking the carpet's your birthday pressie! Oooh it's not THAT kind of carpet i hope lol. I did look for a happy birthday merkin pic to post on your wall but couldn't find one - i hope it didn't look too dodgy googling that! x

ps I just struggled to get my socks on and OH said 'oooh even your feet are fat' and then laughed hysterically. he's not in my good books now! men! i told him to write that funny joke in his joke book.

Elly went to lovely campsite in a village not too far from us but in gorgeous setting and not commercial eg only a small shower block and little kiosk selling the ice cream they make on their farm and thats it. really close to sea and beach.just short walk through woods. DH got everything packed while I was at work on saturday (although I knew we were going as we decided about 2am in the morning when he got home from gig).
then him and kids went and pitched tent before picking me up from work.
Kids had taken allsorts of little random things to make a party on friday night and they had a fantastic time playing with about 5 other kids near to us.
they got totally sodden and covered in mud whilst I drank a bit of wine and chilled after the busiest day ever at work.
yesterday my actual birthday we all woke up early with strong wind buffeting our tent around. had breakfast and then DS fell fast asleep again in a nest of sleeping bags. DD cuddled up on the other side of me and fell asleep again soon after. so me and DH stayed in tent with kids all snuggled up and we chatted and snoozed while wind raged outside. was really peaceful and relaxing.
eventually wind got really bad and kids woke up so we popped them in their car seats with sleeping bags over them and took tent down which was hilariousin the wind as I kept nearly parachuting trying to keep hold of it. then met my mum and her OH for lunch in the village. there is a really nice rural crafty/arty gallery with a little cafe and great playground. kids made more friends while we ate and chatted. then went to visit my friend and her family who couldn't make it for lunch. then home and ordered pizza from our lovely little local takeaway. I couldn't keep my eyes open so Dh unpacked all.
Really enjoyed it but couldn't even face a glass of wine last night as so tired. must be my age.lol

Ps he had packed me some trousers. some grey tracksuit bottoms that don't really fit me anymore and start slipping down and a top that needed washing!!! lol. was funny trying not to let them fall down whilst holding on to the billowing tent.haha.
