Can I retrieve deleted Outlook files?

Options
My wife's trial of Office 2007 had ended and I downloaded Office 2010. I didn't realise she used Outlook for her emails and uninstalled Office 2007, thus deleting her address book and all her emails .

Is there any chance of getting any of these files back? I did a Google search and downloaded a program called Glary Utilities which found loads of deleted files, none of which seemed to be to do with Outlook.

Help!

They may not have been deleted. Do a search on your drive for *.PST and those are the Outlook e-mail files. The e-mails, contacts, etc., are stored in one PST file.

No they don't appear to be. Lots of cookies, tmp files etc but nothing related to Outlook.

Did you use a web based e-mail address (e.g., Hotmail) for the e-mails through Outlook or a different one like POP3 (e.g., from your ISP).

If web based, your e-mails should still be there in your web inbox.

If POP3, check to see if your e-mail provider has a web interface (e.g., Virgin is http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/emailgateway.php) and login through there. Your e-mails will probably still be there.
