I've never sold and bought before, and want to make sure I budget for everything that will need to be paid for. I imagine my house will sell for approx £100k and I'm looking at buying at £150k
Have I forgotten anything:
Estate Agents Fee ~ 1.5% plus VAT (£1,176.25)
Stamp Duty ~ 1% (£1,500) - is VAT payable on this?
Convayencing/solicitors ~ ????
Removals ~ £500
What have I forgotten?
TIA

Not sure about the selling costs but for buying I found the following info useful as a guide:
• Valuation of Property (Basic Valuation) – A typical cost would be between £205 – £335 for properties between £75k – £300k.
• Legal / Conveyancing Fees Typically £500
• Stamp Duty 1% of the purchase price over £125k – £250k and 3% for properties up to £500k. Properties under £125k do not require Stamp Duty to be paid
• Land Registry Fee – can start from as little as £2
(visit their website at https://www.landregisteronline.gov.uk for more information)
• Local Authority Search Fees
• Other Search Fees and Disbursements
• House-hunting expenses e.g. petrol, time off work etc
• Removal Fees – contact a removal company who will be able to provide a guide quotation for you
