Hi
I have the above which is due to run out at the end of this month, I do have 2010 version waiting to be installed, is there any way I can install 2010 but use the remaining days of 2009 version and then have the 1 year from the end of the month, if you know what I mean.

No, once you install and activate the 2010 version, you loose whatever time you have left on your 2009 edition. I found this out myself.Never Knowingly Understood.

I agree with patman99. You will have to wait until your existing licence expires before installing the 2010 version. However, if you have a bank account with Barclays, you can get Kaspersky 2010 for free and can use it on up to 3 computers. After the year is up, Barclays renew it for free.0

Just to add to this - you get Kaspersky Internet Security, not Kaspersky Anti Virus (I think Internet Security is better?)
Also - this only applies if you have Internet Banking, it isn't for all customers as such.0 -
Kaspersky internet security is the total package, not just the anti virus program.
Have to say though, I got the barclays freebie this time before my paid for program was up and it just added on the year to what was already left.0 -
thanks! just have to be patient then!0

Yes you will loose what ever time you have left over once you install it again0

I don't think this is right - when I applied for a renewal activation code from Barclays, the confirmation email I received specifically stated that any unused days left on the current licence will be lost. Before doing something... do nothing0 -

Remove the 2009 version using Control Panel "Add or Remove Programs" thingy and a box will appear. Tick Retain Licence and Spam Database.
Then install KIS2010 and it will pick up the old licence but you will probably start getting reminder pop ups that licence is close to expiring.
You can renew the licence by clicking the small licence remaining text at the bottom of the KIS window and following the prompts.
If you overwrite the licence, you will lose the remaining days as stated by other posters.
If you have already installed 2010 over 2009 then I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling but remember to retain licence details.
I have found that KIS2010 runs significantly smoother with a fresh install.(Dunno why but it does)
If you reinstall then you will have to update the Virus Database"It's nice to be important but more important to be nice"

This is the method to use for retaining a license, i am still using KIS6 licenses on my KIS 2010 version through this method.0
