Car Finance website security

Hi all, I was looking for finance for a TT last night and came accross a company called Oracle Finance (oraclefinance.co.uk). I wondered if anyone has had any experience with them.

My main concern is while they look like the real deal when I was going through the online application I was being asked for things like bank account number and sort code. Is this standard practice as I've not seen it on other sites I've checked out, also I don't see any security on it, no padlock icon, doesn't that mean my details could be easily stolen? Should I trust this site?

Thanks in advance.

Oracle finance are a legit company.

Your sort code and bank account number are written on your cheque book anyway.

I've inspected the design of the first for where personal details are collected and there is absolutly no encryption (https) security in place at all. The details collected might not be that sensitive but on principle I wouldn't submit the form either. It can cost under £150 a year to put an adequate level of https into place on a web site.
