Hello, I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, so if I'm not.......I'm sorry.
DS1 will be graduating this year, and he and some friends have booked a holiday in Crete in July.
He's been working part time and saving for this for months, so when he went to renew his passport, he paid the extra £8 for the Post Office to check the application and photos to make sure that everything was in order before he sent it off. He got a letter back from the Passport Office this morning saying that his application's been rejected because the photos were too light!
Do you think its worth him trying to get his money back from the PO? After all, £8 is a lot of money for a student.

My daughters recently had their photographs taken at a local Morrisons in a booth that says the photographs were passport approved. The same happened to us, £8 of photographs were rejected as too light. I took the letter and the photographs back into the store and they refunded the money without hesitation.
Where did you have the photographs taken? I would attempt to get a refund on the photographs and try the PO for a refund.
We did ours again at a local Jessops who checked the size and light of the pics and "guaranteed" they would be accepted.0 -
Hi, I think he took them in a photo booth at the students union which was supposed to be passport standard. He's had some more taken today, also at a Jessops, in Cardiff. I'll tell him to take a copy of the letter to the PO to see if he can get a refund of the £8 checking fee.
