    Fridges don't seem to suffer from the same problems as WMs and TDs. I've had Hotpoint, Samsung and LG, and they've all been good.

    Make sure you check out Kelkoo (https://www.kelkoo.co.uk) for best prices once you've picked out a model, and try the Comet clearance site too (http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/)
  • 8 months ago I moved into my first flat, I bought a Silver, frost free A+ rated fridge/freezer that I wouldnt swap for the world. Its the Indesit model - BAAN 12(S).

    * Gross capacity 10.5 cu ft/296 litres.

    * Net capacity 9.5 cu ft/270 litres.

    * Reversible doors.

    * Fridge:

    * Interior light.

    * 3 adjustable safety glass shelves including salad bin cover.

    * Bottle rack with gripper.

    * Dairy compartment.

    * 2 salad crispers.

    * Egg rack.

    * Hygiene Control - antibacterial protection.

    * Freezer:

    * Manual defrost.

    * Defrost spout.

    * 3 transparent removable storage baskets.

    * Ice system: integrated ice trays on each of the freezer baskets.

    * Size (H)175, (W)60, (D)65.5cm.

    * Energy efficiency class 'A+'.

    * Energy consumption 259kWh/year.

    * Net fresh food volume 180 litres.

    It holds a lot of food and is stylish, economical and within your budget!

    Argos sell it for £289.99 without delivery/connection but I am sure you could get it even cheaper from doing a proper internet search.
