I'd side with OP here.
JL has said "we're selling Bloom fresco high chair for £100."
OP has expressed interest and paid the money. Now usually at this point, a company would say "hold on, there's been a mistake. Here's your money back, we're sending nothing."
JL has instead said, "You want this? Ok we've sent it."
They've formed the contract to buy what was advertised. OP has offered money, JL has taken it and told them that they've sent it. That they sent something else rather than what was agreed on is JL's problem, not OP's. JL formed the contract for a Bloom fresco high chair and that's what OP should get.0 -
TBeckett100 is an expert on nothing. He has absolutely no legal qualifications. This is the man who wanted to sue Harrods for giving teddies to sick children rather than him!
OP, if you escalate your complaint to JL head office they are likely to honour your order, or meet you somewhere in the middle.

I will elaborate for you
Harrods promised a lot of Meekats, collectors items and at the time rare to people who managed to get on the list. Time and expense was involved phoning them etc but people managed to get their names on the list for one.
Then two weeks before xmas they pulled the plug and said they were giving them away to charity instead. London Zoo was supposed to geta cut of the sale price as well so I don;t know what happened there.
I considered a loss of bargain against harrods after the charities shoved them straight onto ebay and they were changing hands on the first day for about £1000, therefore to buy one or for anyone to buy one as a present they were planning to give, would have cost them substantially more.
I was probably a little hot headed to launch straight into a case with Harrods at the time, but having been made to wait months for the item it seemed unfair for Harrods to shun the consumer like that. Poor handling.
However, in looking at the legal aspect it was pointed out that sick kids were involved and whilst I would have dearly loved to prove a point and fight, i think morally it would have been reckless as the only headline to come from that would have been "man sues sick kids" rather than consumer takes on the eqyptian greengrocer and wins. In any other circumstance I would have had a go but left it well alone as it is difficult to distinguish whether I am fighting a corporate or depriving sick children and being a nation of children lovers, god bless them, the latter would apply.0 -
It is clear that a mistake has been made here. However purchaser wants it all his own way. Try the small claims court and see what they would think of the situation.0

Can i just add that I purchased the item on 24/4/10, I then told a friend and he tried to order it on the 27/4/10 but it had been removed.
I was not notified it was incorrectly priced, received the confirmation email, etc.
The item was delivered on 30/4/10, I contacted them on 3/5/10 saying they had sent an incorrect item, all they said was sorry for the mistake. They only said it was incorrectly priced on the 4/5/10. Also the advisor i spoke to first lied and said the item is out of stock and then when i challenged her she admitted it had been incorrectly priced but would not budge on anything more than a £25 goodwill gesture off the product. She also said, JL had only found out on 3/5/10. However that can't be true because it was removed from their website by the 27/4/10.
By the way I have contacted JL but no one has replied as yet. I have emailed a complaint too.
Should i send a letter in writing to their head office or wait for correspondance first via email?0
