They are digging up worms, so you've got two options.
You can get one of those cat repellant sound systems that lets out a high pitched noise when movement is detected. The foxes don't like it.
or
You can leave out a little dish of dog or cat food, well away from your lawn. They find it more tasty and less hard work to have a snack rather than dig for worms.

They bury eggs around our plot. I know they're not laying them unless they can also stamp them with the lion mark.
