Anyone know why this house is so cheap for a proprty on the edge of the New Forest? Is that particular area a bit dodgy or is that the house looks to be 'non standard' construction (i.e not built out of brick).
If you do know the area, would you say this house is a good buy?
Just curious
Thanks

So doesn't look overly cheap to me.
Taping over sink and bath makes it look like a repo.0 -
Looks like non-standard - therefore some lenders might not lend - and lack of fronts to cupboards in kitchen etc suggests repo.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
Just curious, why do they tape over stuff in repo places?0

I'm in New Milton.
I haven't seen the house 'in the flesh', but the general estate it's in is the, ummm, 'less desirable area of New Milton' I guess the best description.
As mainly a retirement town 'less desirable' isn't exactly on a par with major city sink estates, but I guess everywhere has its grey areas.
That said, there isn't much trouble here, and no reason not to consider it if you're happy in a built up area.
It's very convenient for the town centre and railway station and the main Lyndhurst to Christchurch road is not far across the open forest from there.
Hope this helps!
