Occasional Dirt Cheap TV's Dixons & Currys

It looks very like Dixons and Currys are getting rid of their old stock of TVs on line. In the last few days we've seen a 32" TV on sale for £60, and a 17" LCD TV for £80.
What to do
If you are looking for a TV bargain, it's a question of simply monitoring (forgive the pun) the sites to see what prices pop up and then grabbing quick - as there's always limited stock.
Sorry I can't be more definite it's the nature of the game

Product code 017372 is a Logik 14" LCD TV for £79.99 although it is refurbished and out of stock for the moment at Currys.
I work at Currys.Digital and remember seeing a cheap LCD TV, possibly this one that is exactly the same as a Samsung TV with a different name on it. Cant go wrong for that price though! Great for Uni and the same price as an equivalent CRT.0 -
Hi Martin! :money:
Which section of the websites have you seen these in? Are they in with the other tv's, in a clearance section or where they on the home page?
Cheers - youre a star0 -
oops, sorry Martin, but couldn't resist - just had to edit the title and correct the spelling of occasional

AFAIK go to normal TV section (not clearance) and they will by default be sorted by price low -> high. Look at the first few and if you see something nice like 32" flat widescreen £60 you just hit the jackpot (assuming they have stock) and should stick your order in
One of the reasons Dixons/Currys are selling off these types of TV's is the impending doom of analogue TV when they switch it off the sets will be left useless without a digibox.seanparkin wrote:Not really, most retailers have a 42" plasma for £800 or under these days. Guaranteed to be naff though.
Have to say I thought the same - but looked on https://www.richersounds.co.uk and the cheapest I could see was £100 more. Although with Hi-definition being what everyone wants now prices are bound to drop soon on the standard resolution plasmas.
Be careful with plasmas however - they use 4 times the amount of electricity as a standard CRT television. I was surprised too! So even if you get one for a bargain price, your electric bill is sure to rise!

I've had 7 tv orders cancelled from Dixons or Currys in the last few months none honoured, I think the original post should be noted saying that DSG virtually never honour orders on these.0

Agree 100% with previous poster, also the TVs are always in stock on a night but never during the day (unless by some miracle they actually do have stock in for some lucky person, personally I reckon you have got more chance of winning the lottery!!).0
