Opinions on Kia Rio (2003-2005 model)

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this part of the board!

We're considering purchasing a second car in addition to my partner's Corsa and have been looking at the 03-05 model Kia Rio. Obviously these are not luxury cars but they seem to be pretty good value for money and can be picked up for just over a thousand pounds. They also have a good sized boot which would be very useful for us.

Any opinions on these cars?

Cheers! :D

It'll do the job however one for just over a grand even on 03 plates must have one hell of a mileage on it?

Unsure how they'd cope with high mileage

I haven't seen a particular one just had a look through the Freeads and on Autotrader at private sales, they do seem to sell for between £1000 and £1500 at that age.

Fair enough. Saw a Cat D damaged one for £800 the other day on 53 plates so I assumed the value was actually a fair bit more :)

Not so, they don't make a fortune, they are as reliable, if not more so, than most cars.

Go for the LE model if possible, they have Air Con.
