Cardata.... "we have buyers for you"

From memory, 'we have 5 buyers lined up, pay us £20 to be contacted by them.' Autotrader aren't happy about these idiots, their 'telesafe' service filters some out, but costs real buyers a higher rate to call.0

Its normally about 65 quid, then they wil reduce it to 55 as that is todays offer.
When they say they have buyers lined up, I tell them to send them around...!
Or if they are that desperate for a car then why dont they just look on AutoTrader themselves... Then it comes out that they are doing the finance etc... and the car will have a warranty. But as I told one cardata employee - I'm selling a car privately so why should I care if the gearbox fallss out down the road...?!0 -
You should try their friendly search service on their website. The man without a signature.0

From another forum: "Tell them if they transfer you the full asking price by CHAPS today you'll post them the V5 and keys for their buyers to fight over"0 -
The Daily Mirror have caught them out a couple of times. First they listed a £50 Lada in Loot for £3000, and sure enough Cardata contacted them to say they had buyers lined up for it
Then they managed to catch them with this beauty:So we placed another bogus ad, this time claiming to be selling a Yamaha ZJR 1100 motorbike, which prompted a call from a Cardata rep called Mark.
"We've got buyers looking to buy your type of bike on our database," he said, trying to get us to cough up £99.50.
We asked if Cardata really had buyers interested in our bike.
Mark, who had no idea that he was talking to The Mirror, was adamant.
"That's right, they come to us. I've seen them go for more."
Really? This particular model has gone for more than the £4,500 we asked?
"Yeah, that's right. You priced it to sell it on the button," Mark insisted.
Here's how we know Mark was talking rubbish - there is no such thing as a Yamaha ZJR 1100.0 -
That is SUPERB! Love it :rotfl:Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0
