Hi,
First time poster here and not sure if I am in the right place with this but here goes....
My sister bought me a £50.00 gift voucher from a well known "late booking" website in February 2009.
I got a confirmation from them that the voucher would be on it's way to me shortly after that.
I got nothing over the next month and let my sister know so she could chase them up.
After some toing and froing with them my sister eventually got them to send my voucher in mid July 2009 with a 12 month expiry limit on it.
I went to use it today and found it had already expired.
When I queried this I was told the voucher was activated in February 2009 and had to be used within the 12 months since it was activated.
I have argued that I did not have the voucher or know the number until July and could not have used it before then but they will not reinstate it.
Since I did not directly buy the voucher and was not involved in the correspondence to get it delivered I am not sure what else I can do to get them to let me use the voucher...or do I just give it up as expired?
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.
