We are currently redoing our living room.... just wondered if anyone had any advice abour removing a wall light? we have a plaster coming next week to reskim all the walls so ideally need to get this done ASAP.. the light fitting appears to be in a random corner of the room .. hence the reason we want it removed.. it looks out of place.
Is this a simple job? just remove the light and skim over over the wires?? or is that a really blonde comment?? ah.... !!!
thanks guys.

you could isolate the cable inside a metal junction box and then plaster over it.
not best practice though.
it is better to remove the cable completely.Get some gorm.0 -
Please make sure you do this properly. Remove the cable entirely, or make sure it is disconnected at the source.
There's nothing worse than ruining your day with a belt from a hidden live cable leading nowhere.0 -
