ACAS pushing for a settlement
Comments

No you couldnt sue ACAS unless they had been neglient which you have offered nothing to support.
I think ACAS are suggesting you settle because they dont feel your likely to win/win more.
I am now starting to think you are a vindictive individual who is just out to cause distress to people.0 -

Why does everyone say the same old clich about reasonable adjustments! I know how weak the DDA's are in protecting disable people!
My employer has over 10 000 employees and they are supposing the Olympics and Paralympics.:rotfl:
Yes that right, I am being 'vindictive' I have an incurable condition that affords me the laudable disability protection rights that this country has. The state via Access To Work are/were willing to fund the reasonable adjustments fully and I am being 'vindictive'. I really think that you should pop over to BBC Ouch your understanding of disability issues and moral compass is faulty is it still within its warranty?
I have been discriminated against all the system wants to do is to throw 30 pieces of silver at me so, I will go away. That might of been the cases a few weeks ago but not anymore! I what my employer to know the full existent of my discuss, hurt, anger, pain etc. at the way they have treated me!:mad:0 -

Please free to tell us exactly what reasonable adjustments you wanted then! You are clearly very biased and in all respects your assurances it was perfectly reasonable mean nothing to me.
You may well be disabled but this doesnt mean you are owed more from society. You are allowed not to be discrimated against. Sadly the laws in this country seem to be more and more verging on positive discrimination now.0 -

There is NO 'us' you are not the forum you are a Troll! I am not concerned about your layperson view (I choice not to use the word opinion Daily Mail readers only have views).
Sorry, 'Society' does not agree with you, they have via their elected government decided to fund Access To Work. The first DDA and Access To Work grants come into law in 1995 when John Major the last Tory PM was in office. Therefore, your last statement is complete BS!
With your every post you have been confirming my original opinion that you are a Troll.:T
I hope that you have fun in your new roll now that you have retried from what ever middle management post you had. But please keep to the Daily Mail we would not want you to bump into anyone who does not adhere to your stereotypes of normal!:rotfl:
Bye bye, I am off to oil my wheelchair!0 -
When I took my claim to ET, I never even heard from ACAS, would have been happy to have settled out of court, but the outcome was such that it worked better that we did go to court.Pawpurrs x0

It is you who seems to be misinterpreting the DDA; access to work etc. They are there to assist you and offer advice and help. They do not give you the right to dictate to your employer which you seem to have done.
I can't help but think your attitude is a big part of the problem here.
ACAS clearly dont think you have a solid case and if you do insist on taking the case further as part of your ego/vanity I hope you suffer the implicatiions.
ET's are there to help people who suffer action contrary to law; not to give people an avenue to take forward petty unfounded grievances with the sole intention of inflicting harm on others.0 -

Talk to my hand TROLL!:T0 -
Mr Bump, This may help, taken from a well known book - "ACAS have the job of trying to broker a settlement. The ACAS officer assigned is a neutral go between but will not offer advice on the merits of the case or value of the claim (some officers do occasionally offer an opinion but they are not legally qualified and it is not part of their job to do so)."0
-
You don't have to persevere with ACAS. You can ignore their advice, tell them that you no longer require their help and then wait until August and have your day in court (which is what you wanted to do in the first place - much better than going along with them and then trying to sue them afterwards).0

Thank you for your opinion.
Like most organisations with case officers, maybe this individual officer is under pressure to close files as quickly as possible? This makes sense to me ACAS has a large case load and they have not taken many new staff on. The ET have also been advertising for new judges. The ET has also been told to throw out any weak case as soon as possible but my case has already had a CMD so it is full stream ahead.0
