I have made a " film " using pics & music on windows movie maker .
I really want to upload it to youtube but can't. I have tried
uploading to web
saving to my computer
saving to cd
but keep getting error messages.
I am really not technically minded and I don't know what to do
When I try & upload to youtobe it say's it should be a WMV format but all I can manage to save it in is a *WMMVS
I would really appreciate any help/advice. The video is of my DD & I am trekking the Sahara dessert in her memory for charity so it's a kind of " visual aid " to raise awarenes and support.
Thank you in advance x
Hope someone can help xx

It's a while since I used Movie Maker but from memory when you save it, it saves it as a Movie Maker project. You haev to actually publish it to get a standalone film clip. Have you done this?
EDIT: See here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Publish-a-movie-in-Windows-Movie-MakerIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

It may be dependant on what verison you're using. Click on help and then do a google search for publish movie and the specific version. Or post what version and OS you are using.
It should be there somewhere. It's my problem, it's my problem

You need to go to Save Movie, you will then be presented with a series of options.
What you have done is saved the project file. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Hello again !
Well, I have tried and failed miserably all day. It's version 5.1 & I've been through microsoft site & it still wont save & now I'm going to cry :-(
Whatever I do I get the message cannot save to specified location , check the origional source files & saving location are still availiable.
I've tried saving it to EVERYWHERE!!!! I checked the pics were all Ok & not copied or renamed. Where am I going wrong ?????
Or do you know of any other software of this kind that's good (pref free :-) ) but don't mind paying .
Thanks 4 all the help you've given me already xxx
I promise I'll leave you all alone as soon as I've made this blinkin video !!!!
Cheers

I'm using Windows Live movie maker so can't help you much as the menus are different.
You could try looking here
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/21/faq.mspx
or visiting papajohns movie maker site.

Photo MovieTheater is a good choice, I think. Within five steps, you can share your
photos all over the world.
1: Import your favorite photos or videos to Photo MovieTheater
2: Add Dynamic Effects to Still Images.Photo MovieTheater provides array of
transition styles from family to new HD style.
3: Decorate Photos and Videos with background music, caption, narration,
illustration and effects.
4: Publish the video with formats accepted by Youtube. The video files like
3GP, AVI, MOV, MPEG, FLV, MKV,etc. are all accepted by YouTube. All of them can be
found in Photo MovieTheater output formats.
5: Upload the video to Youtube
Once you've finished editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller
than 2GB in size, and in an acceptable format, then go to Youtube website and
you're ready to upload it.0
